Industrial Security Locking Systems, and other members of the SCIF Technical Advisory Group (STAG), offers free technical seminars to government agencies and businesses within the Baltimore/Washington area who are planning to build a new SCIF or upgrade their current SCIF to the new ICD705 Tech Specs requirements as well as GSA FF-L-2890B regulations. We can hold these technical seminars at your site to make it as convenient as possible for your staff to attend.
These seminars cover both technical construction information on SCIF doors and provides a review of NFPA 101 life safety, DoD and ADA approved locks and other devices. We cover changes in the ICD705 Tech Specs and GSA FF-L-2890B, grandfathering of older SCIF’s that do not meet current requirements and technical details such as the proper construction of a rough opening for the heavier acoustical rated doors.
These seminars are conducted by technical experts from Industrial Security Locking Systems and other members of STAG. If you have particular subject matter that you would like covered, we can include a member who can offer their expertise and knowledge in your specific area of interest. A good example would be a review of the new accreditation procedures and suggestions on howto increase your probability of passing the first time.
These sessions are informal. They include short presentations on the processes of planning and building new SCIF’s or upgrading existing ones. There will be adequate time both during and after the presentation for questions. After the session packages of technical materials will be provided.
These technical seminars are not “sales pitches”. They are designed to make available technical information and knowledge to our customers to assist them in the planning and budgeting of new SCIF’s, build-outs of existing SCIF’s or efficient upgrades of existing SCIF’s.
